HYDERABAD, Oct 26: Hyderabad District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil has expressed determination to provide all facilities to the people of rural taluka Hyderabad which were available to others three city talukas.

He said that work on electrification of different villages in the rural taluka and brick-laying of lanes and streets will start from next week.

He was talking to nazims, councillors of the rural taluka who called on him at his secretariat here on Thursday.

He said the tenders for construction of remaining important roads have already been approved and the work will start in next month.

TMO rural taluka Abdul Majeed Rajput, naib nazim UC Tando Qaisar, Faisal Khan Nizamani, councillors Allah Bachayo Umrani, Mithu Wassan and Peeru Wassan and professor Dr Umaid Ali, Dr Ghulam Murtaza Jamro, professor Allah Warayo Gadai and others attended the meeting.

Mr Jamil made it clear that development works were being carried out throughout the Hyderabad district without any discrimination and added that same facilities of health, education, water and power supply and recreation were being provided to the rural areas which had been made available to the people of city, Latifabad and Qasimabad talukas.

He said it was a tragedy that in this modern age many a village had not been provided basic facility of electricity due to indifferent attitude of the past rulers.

The nazim said the district government will remove these contradictions.

He announced that the electrification of Goth Haji Ibrahim Machhi, Sarang Solangi and Khaku Mirbahar of Tando Qaisar, Goth Majeed Unnar, Radhan Mangwana, Himatabad colony, Mohammad Hashim Machhi, Khameso Machhi and Azad Nagar of Tando Haider and Goth Umer Shah, Moosa Khatian, Goth Ali Nawaz Gopang, Sawan Gopang and Goth Haji Khan Buriro will be started next week.

The brick-laying work in the villages will also be taken in hand within few weeks.

He said the construction of many roads in the rural taluka has been completed while the work on the others was proceeding at a hectic pace adding that the tendering work of remaining roads has also been completed and the construction work will start very soon.

Giving details, he said an amount of Rs38.311 million will be spent on the construction of Husri-Seri road, Rs11.240 million on Ghangra Mori-Bagh Wah road, Rs6 million on Hussain Khan Thoro-Shah Khameso shrine road and Rs5.8 million on Massu Bhurgari road.
