JACOBABAD, Oct 22: A man was shot dead in village Kalarkot in the jurisdiction of Mouladad police station in the wee hours of Monday as a result of shootout between the alleged cattle lifters and owners.

Reports said that three thieves broke into the house of one Dhani Bux Khoso and took away one bull and tried to flee.

Meanwhile, inmates woke up and chased them. Dhani Bux opened fire with the gun as a result of which Mohammad Ali Mugheri died on the spot while his accomplices escaped from the scene.The relatives of deceased Mohammad Ali took out a procession against the ‘killers’. The procession reached Shah-eed park where they staged a sit-in and blocked the road for an hour. —Correspondent
