HYDERABAD, March 22: The University of Sindh has decided to reduce the admission fee for all degree/post graduate programmes for the foreign students under the self-finance scheme from the academic year 2002 onwards.

According to details issued by the director admissions, university of Sindh, Mohammad Saleh Rajar, here on Friday the new schedule of admission fee under self-finance scheme for the admission in B.Parmacy would be US$ 1200+US$100 tuition fees for English Remedial classes (old fee was US$ 1550).

For admission in BBA, B.C.S/BS(IT)/B.Telecom/ B.Electronics/Geology/Software Engineering/Public Administration the fee will be US$ 900 + US$ 100 tuition fees for English remedial classes (old fee was US$ 1550).

Fee for admission in other general disciplines in bachelors degree programme will be US$ 800 and US$100 tuition fee for English Remedial Classes. (Old fee was US$ 1550).

According to revised schedule admission fee for M.A (Arts subjects) will be US$ 900 and US$100 for the tuition fee for English Remedial Classes. (old fee was US$1550).

The admission fee for MBA/computer science/MPA and all other special subjects of master degree programmes will be US$1200 and US$100 of tuition fee for English Remedial classes (Old fee was US$ 2050).

The admission fee for M.Sc in all science subjects in general disciplines will now be US$900 and US$100 tuition fee for English Remedial classes (old fee US$ 1550).

The revised admission fee shall be applicable to the students seeking admission in the session of 2002 onwards.

ADMISSION: The director admissions, university of Sindh, here on Friday announced the schedule for admissions in new evening professional, degree and diploma courses in the institute of pharmacy under self-finance scheme for the session 2002 in B.Pharmacy, post graduate diploma in pharmacy management (industrial, marketing and hospital management and pharmaceutical marketing.

The admission forms will be available at the Habib Bank Limited old campus Hyderabad and Jamshoro branches with effect from April 01, 2002.

The director further announced that students from all over the country could apply for admission. The fee structure would be economical and could be paid in easy instalments, he added.

The director also announced that the last date for the submission of admission fee by the selected candidates in MPA (evening programme) 1st year and post graduate diploma in Public Administration had been fixed as March 26, 2002.

The director has extended the last date for the payment of admission fee upto April, 04, 2002 in bachelors of Computer Science (BCS), post-graduate diploma in Web Development, Software Development and Bio-informatics (evening classes) under the economical self-finance scheme for the academic session of 2002.

BISE RESULTS: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hyderabad, here on Friday announced the results of supplementary examination of higher Secondary Certificate part-II (class-XII) 2001 of Home- Economics, Commerce and Humanities regular and private candidates.

In the Home Economics group, 17 candidates appeared in the examinations out of which 16 were declared pass.

In the Commerce group, 432 candidates appeared in the examinations out of which 198 candidates were declared successful while the result of eight candidates was withheld for one or the other reasons.

The percentage of successful candidates on the whole is 45.83 per cent. In the Humanities group, 3465 regular and 2128 private candidates appeared in the examinations out of which 1125 regular and 877 private candidates were declared successful.
