Sami, Mansoor to lead Karachi teams

KARACHI, Oct 18: The Karachi City Cricket Association on Thursday named two squads for Quaid-i-Azam Trophy starting from Saturday at various centres of the country.

Discarded Test paceman Mohammad Sami will lead Karachi Whites, while Mansoor Khan will be the skipper of Karachi Blues.

Karachi Whites will take on Hyderabad in the opening match at the Niaz Stadium in Hyderabad while Karachi Blues will meet Rawalpindi here at the UBL Sports Complex.

Squads:

KARACHI WHITES: Mohammad Sami (captain), Asim Kamal, Wajihuddin, Zeeshan Pervez, Asad Shafiq, Wasim Naeem, Daniyal Ahsan, Atif Ali Zaidi, Afsar Nawaz, Tanvir Ahmed, Fahad Khan, Khalid Latif, Tabish Nawab, Adnan Kaleem, Javed Mansoor, Owais Rehmani, Babar Rehman, Shan Masood, Ahmed Iqbal Khan.

Officials: Jalaluddin (coach) and Mehdi Hasan (manager).

KARACHI BLUES: Mansoor Khan (captain), Shadab Kabir, Faisal Hussain, Mohammad Masroor, Fahadullah, Tariq Haroon, Ariz Kamal, Faraz Ahmed Khan, Sharjeel Ashraf, Mansoor Baig, Tabish Khan, Malik Aftab, Sajid Hanif, Azam Hussain, Faraz Patel, Mubashir Ahmed, Ijaz Ahmed, Shahzaib Khan, Ali Asad, Mohammad Waqas.
