Three die in separate incidents

KHAIRPUR, Oct 18: A child and two women died and eight others people were injured on Wednesday in different incidents.

A rickshaw, going to Ubhan Shah from Gambat, was overturned due to burst of tyre in which six-year old Shahan, son of Abdul Majeed Arain, was killed on the spot while six other persons injured.

All of them were rushed to the Gambat Hospital. The child’s body was handed over to parents after post-mortem.

In another incident, Shahmiran Khatoon Kalhoro, 17, was shot dead by her husband, Tasleem Kalhoro, at village Jara Khoh near Gambat over Karo-kari.

Gambat police have registered the case and started investigations.

A woman, Hawa Solangi, committed suicide by drinking pesticide at village Solangi near Khairpur.

The cause of the suicide is said to be domestic problems.

Muharam Ali Mangi senior vice-president of Sindh National Students Front was injured in a road accident near Khairpur at the National Highway when his car collided with a van.

He was rushed to the Civil Hospital Khairpur for treatment.

In another incident Rahim Bux was injured near Tando Masti when a motorcycle hit him.

He was brought to the Civil Hospital but due to his critical condition he was later shifted to Nawab Shah Hospital.—PPI
