Bridge contests to begin on 27th

KARACHI, Oct 17: The third Data Steel Individual bridge championship will commence at the Aslam Memorial Bridge Hall, National Stadium, on Oct 27, the Pakistan Bridge Federation (PBF) announced on Wednesday.

The competition will be played in two phases. On the first day, matches will be held on the knockout basis after which top players qualify for the Swiss league rounds, which will be played the following day.

Winner of the event will receive Rs30,000.

Hamid Mohiuddin will defend his title.

Prominent players which are taking part in the event are: Rashid-ul-Ghazi, Pervez Mirza, Sarfraz Ahmed Khan, Rashid Jafer, Tahir Masood, Imran Jaka.—APP
