LAHORE, Oct 16: Exactly a dozen members of the Lahore Race Club have filed nomination papers for elections of the 10-steward panel.

The elections will be held on Oct 28.

Those who filed the papers are:

Tariq Aziz, Arbab Nur Mohammad Khan, Fakhar Imam, Malik Hamid Ali Noon, Sheikh Sajjad Hassan, Malik Ghulam Nabi, Mian Abdul Waheed, Masood Pervaiz, Syed Parvaiz Hussain Shah, Khawaja M. Arif, Munir Ahmad Dar and Chaudhry Ahmed Saeed.

The first ten named are sitting stewards. Munir Dar is a Jockey Club Of Pakistan steward while Chaudhry Ahmed Saeed is contesting for the first time.

LRC chairman Tariq Aziz’s group holds majority in the 50-member house.—A.G.
