PESHAWAR, Oct 11: The Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) will hold polling for four vacant seats on Nov 29, according to the chamber’s election schedule announced here on Thursday.

The schedule was finalised by the executive committee of the SCCI under Liaqat Ahmad Khan, president of the chamber.

The SCCI’s executive committee also constituted election and scrutiny committee, headed by Sufi Bashir Ahmad Durrani with Amanullah Khan Mohmand and Mian Iftikhar Hussain as members.

The election committee will issue final voter’s list and nomination papers to aspiring candidates on Oct 31.

The last date for submission of nomination papers is Nov 8, while Nov 10 is fixed for the scrutiny and final list of candidates will be released on Nov 22. Polling for the four vacant seats of SCCI executive committee will be held on Nov 29.

Moreover, elections for the offices of president, senior vice-president and vice-president will be held on Dec 10.
