NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Oct 11: A minor girl was killed and eight others injured when the roof of a room in their house collapsed on Thursday morning in Guljar Solangi village, Naushahro Feroze.

According to injured Ali Hassan Solangi, the family was sleeping in the room when suddenly the roof came crashing down, killing his four-year-old daughter Majida on the spot and injuring him and family members Shaman, Nadeem, Majeed, Qadir Bux and others. All the injured were brought to Naushahro Feroze Hospital. He appealed for financial help as belongings had been destroyed in the incident.

CLASH: Nine persons of Jatoi and Bhatti tribes were injured when a clash erupted over cutting of trees in agriculture land near Lakha Road, on Wednesday.

Jatoi and Bhatti tribesmen having agricultural lands adjacent to each other clashed when the latter chopped trees and the former claimed those to be in their land. Axes and batons were used as a result; and five persons of Jatoi tribe Hazoor Bux, Mohammad Laiq, Mohammad Din, Muneer Ahmed and Bashir Jatoi, and three of Bhatti Mohammad Ismail, Latif and Hanif were injured.

Local Holiday: District Nazim Ghulam Rasool Jatoi has declared Friday as public holiday in the district to enable the employees celebrate Eidul Fitr with their families.
