HYDERABAD, Oct 10: Relatives of a man murdered a few days back have appealed for the transfer of case to an honest police officer, and withdrawal of false cases against them.

Ghulam Nabi father of victim Din Mohammad and some relatives while addressing a news conference at the press club here on Tuesday alleged police of failing to arrest the accused because of their political clout.

“Influential waderas of the area wanted to occupy our agriculture land and had killed a close relative Allah Warayo on July 15, 2002 as he had raised his voice against their highhandedness,” they said adding: “Thana Bulla Khan Police instead declared it an accidental death.”

On filing application, the court of district and sessions judge Dadu ordered exhumation of the body and post-mortem, they said.

The post-mortem report declared the death of Allah Warayo as ‘murdered’, they said and added a case was registered at Thana Bula Khan Police Station which was pending in the court of law.

“Since then we are being threatened by accused to withdraw the case and on our refusal they also murdered Ghulam Nabi,” they said.

They alleged the district administration Jamshoro of being directly involved in the murder while implicating them in false case of firing and rioting.

Murder case of Ghulam Nabi was registered by Thana Bula Police after lapse of 29 hours while his body handed over after 30 hours, they said while criticising police for its failure to arrest the murderers of Ghulam Nabi. They appealed to the authorities to transfer the case to some honest and conscientious officer and withdraw false case against them.

Brother of the deceased Allah Warayo, Hammar Sunhero was also present at the press conference.
