GUJAR KHAN, Oct 9: The local police Monday night arrested four persons and seized arms and drugs from their possession, officials said.

Inspector Israr Satti told this correspondent that 1,133 grams Charas was seized from Haq Nawaz, a resident of Missa Kaswal, while Mohammad Shabbir of Barki Budhal was detained for possessing 210gm Charas.

Mohammad Nadeem, a resident of Mohallah Babu Ghulab in Gujar Khan city, was taken into custody after the police seized 120gm Charas from him.

In another incident, a 30-bore unlicensed pistol was recovered from Safdar Kiani, a resident of Missa Kaswal village.

The police have arrested all the four outlaws and registered cases against them.

Meanwhile, according to a press release issued by the office of SDPO Gujar Khan Raja Taifur Akhtar, the police arrested two alleged robbers, who looted a house in Tal Khalsa village. A pistol and stolen valuables were also recovered from the accused.

The police claimed to have arrested one of the accused involved in the murder of a man, Mohammad Taseer, in the Pharwala village.
