ADB to give $510m

ISLAMABAD, Oct 6: The Asian Development Bank will provide a multi-tranche financing facility of up to $510 million to Pakistan for development of renewable energy in the country.

The loan and project agreements for the Renewable Energy Development Sector Investment Programme were signed here on Friday.

The programme is the first of its kind in the country and is one of the first to be developed under ADB’s evolving clean energy and efficiency initiative.—APP
