Court action against cops

GUJRANWALA, Oct 4: The district and sessions judge ordered registration of a case against five police officials, including three inspectors, for keeping a man in illegal confinement.

Judge Mazher Hussain Minhas observed that police had formed torture cells where innocent people were confined and tortured.

Garjakh police picked Asif without any case registration and subjected him to torture. Among the accused are SI Qutab Din, Baghbanpura SIs Sultan Mahmood and Muhammad Nawaz.
