Lal Masjid: 4 more cases registered

ISLAMABAD, Oct 2: Following Supreme Court directives in connection with the Lal Masjid operation, the Aabpara police on Tuesday night registered four separate cases - three of kidnapping and one for desecration of the Holy Quran.

A senior police official confirmed that four cases had been registered on the apex court directives, while seven FIRs under various charges were registered during the Lal Masjid operation.

The three cases of kidnapping were registered on the complaints of Jan Mohammad Qureshi, Ali Asghar and Ume Kulsoom.

The police source said no person had been nominated in the three FIRs.

Meanwhile, the police registered the fourth FIR on the complaint of Maulvi Anis.
