MULTAN, Oct 2: A seminar titled ‘Awareness for basic education and health’ was organised here on Tuesday by the National Commission for Human Development’s Department of Volunteerism for Community Development.

The department’s District Programme Manager Mian Naveed Aslam said NCHD was hiring volunteers to provide quality services to education and health sectors. He said the basic theme of this programme was to set up forums at the union council level to strengthen voluntary services.

He said these volunteers would help enrol children in schools, establish non-formal and adult literacy centres and improve social activities. —Staff Correspondent
