KARACHI: KU security

Published October 3, 2007

KARACHI, Oct 2: The present security system at the University of Karachi has become ineffective and a financial burden on the institution.

This observation was made at a meeting of the Karachi University Teachers’ Society (KUTS) held on Tuesday, a KUTS statement said. The meeting stressed the need for a new coordinated security system for the university.

The participants of the meeting were of the view that there must be an effective system to check the movement of vehicles on the campus without a valid entry pass.

It was also suggested that the students’ organisations should not be officially recognised.—APP
