SHEIKHUPURA, Oct 1: Three armed men shot at and injured three businessmen who resisted a Rs3.4 million robbery in front of a bank on Monday. A robber was also injured in the ensuing crossfire and was later handed over to police.

Three brothers, Wasim Ashraf, Sohail Ashraf and Khadim Ashraf, were coming out from a bank on Lahore-Sargodha Road after withdrawing Rs3.4 million.

The ambushing robbers tried to snatch cash from the traders but they resisted. The three brothers and a robber, who was later identified as Amir, were injured in the ensuing shootout. Amir was given in police custody, however, his two accomplices fled.
