NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Sept 29: The activists of the Labour Party Pakistan, took out a procession and staged a demonstration in Moro on Saturday to protest against the arrest of party general secretary Farooq Tariq in Lahore.

The procession, led by the general secretary of the Sindh chapter of the LPP, Younus Rahu, after marching on main roads, reached outside the local press club where the participants staged a demonstration.

They said that the Lahore police had arrested their leader on Friday to discourage and demoralise party workers but they would foil the conspiracy. They condemned the arrest and demanded immediate release of Mr Tariq.

ELECTROCUTED: A man, Mazhar Ali, 32, son of Haji Mohammad Yamin Larik, was electrocuted in Mohammad Ibrahim Larik village near Bhirya Road town on Friday night.

Mr Ali was working on electric wires during a power shutdown when suddenly power was restored. He suffered electric shock and died on the spot.

GIRL: A young girl was sent to Darul Aman by the first judicial magistrate here on Friday.

Ms Basran, daughter of Mohammad Younus Korai, resident of Moro reached at police station Naushahro Feroze and requested for protection from her father. The police produced the girl before the first judicial magistrate, Mohammad Aslam Mazari, who recorded her statement.
