BANGALORE, March 18: India will hold a new test of its nuclear-capable Agni III missile within three months, a government adviser said on Monday.
V.K. Aarte, a scientific adviser to defence minister George Fernandes, said the missile which is being developed would have a range of 700 kilometres.
India in January tested a short-range version of its Agni I missile, which had a similar range.
Pakistan condemned the test as a “direct threat” to its national security. —AFP
