PESHAWAR, Sept 25: Keeping in view the marked increase in cases of electrocution, the Peshawar Electric Supply Company (Pesco) has requested its consumers to adopt precautionary measures for their own safety.

According to a handout, people should ‘earth’ all their appliances and replace all worn out wires and refrain from touching the appliances and cables with wet hands. The consumers have been asked to be careful while using electric water pumps and fans. The company has asked the people not to leash their pets and cattle with electric poles and towers.

The women have been asked to avoid using metal wires for drying clothes and not to touch washing machines with wet hands.

They have also been advised to keep mats under their feet while ironing the clothes.—APP
