KARACHI, Sept 25: Passengers of a minibus captured one of three robbers who sought to loot them at gunpoint on Tuesday.

Police said that the three-member gang boarded the minibus of route No.D-3 while it was passing through the Kharadar area, and started looting its passengers at gunpoint.

One of the passengers posed resistance when he was asked to surrender his mobile phone. This enraged the robbers and one of them hit the passenger with the butt of his pistol. Other passengers reacted angrily and overpowered the attacker. However, the other two robbers slipped out of the minibus and fled.

Estate agent untraced

There has been no clue yet to the kidnappers of an estate agent, Syed Mohsin Ali, who had gone missing on Sept 23.

Police said on Tuesday that Mohsin Ali, a resident of B-1 Area, Liaquatabad, had his business in DHA, Phase-I. His brother had lodged an FIR with the Super Market police station, and claimed that Mohsin had been kidnapped by unknown persons.

The CPLC is also pursuing the case.
