ABBOTTABAD, Oct 6: The newly elected Abbottabad Zila Council met on Thursday to discuss a one-point agenda: allocation of offices and staff to all the 46 union councils of the district.

The session was presided over by the Nazim, Mustafa Jadoon, and proceedings were conducted by Barrister Javed Abbasi, the Naib Nazim.

It has been learnt that the government has allocated sufficient funds for the renovation of the district secretariat and offices of 13 union councils. There is a proposal that abandoned government buildings should be used by 33 union councils. At present only 13 union councils have their own buildings, which are in poor condition.
