TOBA TEK SINGH, March 18: Cash and prize bonds worth hundreds of thousands of rupees were stolen from an electric goods shop and a Bata shoe shop on Sunday night.

The thieves broke the roof and took away cash and prize bonds worth Rs255,200 from Raza Electric Shop on Farooq Road outside grain market.

In the second incident, cash worth Rs10,000 was stolen from a Bata shoe shop on the same road.

Meanwhile, thieves took away cash, valuables and kitchen items from a seminary on Toba-Waryam Wala road, two kilometres from here.

In a press statement, principal Sahibzada Burq Toheedi told newsmen that this was the fifth theft incident in the seminary but police could not find the culprits.

PUBLIC MEETING: The PML(N) will hold a public meeting in Gojra on March 23 in connection with the Pakistan Day.

It will be addressed by former chairman of public accounts committee of National Assembly M. Hamza and former MPAs from Faisalabad Rana Sanaullah Khan and Khwaja Muhammad Islam.
