Rickshaw driver shot dead

FAISALABAD, March 18: A rickshaw driver was gunned down by an unidentified assailant on the Faisalabad-Jhang Road here on Sunday night.

Nadeem Abbas was on his way by three-wheeler when the armed man fired at him, killing him on the spot.

Area police have registered a case and are investigating.

Meanwhile, an aged person was killed under mysterious circumstances in Muzaffar Colony here on Sunday night.

Muhammad Hussain was asleep in the courtyard of his house when some unknown persons murdered him with a sharp weapon.

Factory Area police have so far failed to find any clue to the blind murder.

ARRESTED: A defaulter was arrested on Monday by the local banking court bailiff from Ghulam Muhammadabad.

Azar Ayub had obtained Rs500,000 loan from a local bank. Despite repeated notices, he could not repay the loan.

He has been sent to jail.
