86 flour sale points in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA, Sept 22: The City District Government Gujranwala (CDG-G) has set up as many as 86 sale points throughout the district and asked 50 millers to sell 20kg flour bag at Rs285.

At a meeting held here on Saturday, district coordination officer Ather Husain Sial said 24 judicial magistrates had been appointed to check prices while 95 shopkeepers were arrested and fined totalling Rs400,000.

Meanwhile, five more shopkeepers were arrested in a joint raid conducted by special magistrate and regional transport authority (RTA) secretary Chaudhry Abdul Ghafoor from Satellite Town market for overcharging. A fine of Rs10,000 was collected from them. They were identified as Manzoor Ahmad, Ashfaq, Iqbal, Abid and Zahoor Husain. — Correspondent
