SIALKOT, Sept 22: Inordinate delay in the construction of a multi-storey MA classes block is creating difficulties for students of the Government Murray College where Allama Iqbal and Faiz Ahmad Faiz had also been studying during their youth.

The college had been facing dearth of classrooms and the construction of a new block to house classrooms for different MA disciplines was started in December 2004. The project was to be completed in a year time, but its construction is yet going on.

Principal Prof Qamar Malik told reporters that the project could not be completed due to irresponsible conduct of the contractor during the past three years.

The principal urged provincial and district government high-ups to take notice of this delay and ensure early completion of the project.
