NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Sept 22: More than 70 people including women, carrying body of deceased, Mohammad Bux Machhi, who succumbed to injuries in a Nawabshah hospital on Friday night, staged a sit-in against investigation police of Bhirya city on Bhirya road here on Saturday.
He was injured by bandits when he resisted a robbery bid in his house a couple of days ago.
The protesters led by Rajab Ali and Mohammad Suleman Machhi, burnt tyres and blocked Bhirya-Faiz Gunj link roads.
They complained that thieves barged into the house of Mohammad Bux Machhi a week back, but he woke-up and resisted. The thieves opened fire and injured him seriously. He was referred to PMC hospital Nawabshah where he died on Friday night.
They said that Bhirya city investigation police have failed to arrest the accused though they had lodged an FIR a week back against unidentified thieves.
They appealed to the higher police authorities to order the arrest of the accused and ensure justice with them.
SHOOTOUT: Two persons including a bandit were killed and two others were injured during a motorcycle snatching bid near Ghuman minor on Saturday morning.
According to reports, a group of bandits intercepted three banana traders (brothers) going from Budho Dahiri village near Ghumman minor on a motorcycle and tried to snatch their motorcycle but they offered resistance. The bandits opened fire and killed Ali Akbar Sabqi. Deceased brother, Pervez got hold of one of the bandits on which they opened fire on him, he lied down and the bullet hit an accomplice of dacoit who died on the spot.
Due to firing, two other traders and brother of Rustam and Pervez also sustained bullet injuries.
The bodies and the injured were brought to Civil Hospital Naushahro Feroze from where the body of Ali Akbar was taken to his village whereas the body of dacoit was still lying in the mortuary.
