SWABI:Assailant killed in shootout

SWABI, Sept 22: One person was killed and another injured when two rival groups traded fire at Masoodabad in Doubian area.

Police said Shaukat and his brother Barkat opened fire on Hamid, leaving him seriously injured.

Hamid’s family members retuned fire in which Barkat was killed. Shaukat escaped unhurt.

The shootout follows an exchange of hot words between the rivals over some petty issue.

Both parties have registered FIRs.
