PSQCA being reorganised

Published September 21, 2007

KARACHI, Sept 20: The Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority (PSQCA) is being reconstituted and reorganised.

Presently, the PSQCA is checking quality of the brands of more than 1,000 licensed industries, and there is a growing need to further increase the quality of our products to meet the international standards.

This was stated by the director-general of PSQCA Dr Abdul Ghaffar Soomro while presiding over a meeting of the PSQCA in his office here on Thursday. Mr Soomro said that keeping in view the performance of the PSQCA, its manpower was being enhanced.

There will be two directors of quality control. One will look after Karachi and the rest of Sindh and Balochistan while the other would look after Punjab and NWFP. —APP
