KHAIRPUR, Sept 18: Two children and a woman have died of gastroenteritis whereas more cases have been reported from different villages of Kingri taluka.

Reports said that two sisters, Nazia, 5, and Nadia, 3, daughters of Niaz Ali Jalbani, and an elderly woman, Sharifan, wife of Mir Mohammad Jalbani, died of gastroenteritis during the past 24 hours in village Ghulam Hussain Jalbani and Sono Jalbani of Hadal Shah Union Council, Kingri taluka.

Fifteen children including Naseem, Anita, Savera, Mashooq, Asif, Najma, Afroze, Amna, Jamshed and others suffering from gastroenteritis were admitted to different hospitals from these villages.

A doctor at Pir Jo Goth rural health centre said on Tuesday that five patients of gastroenteritis admitted at the RHC whereas eight patients were discharged after getting treatment.

The doctor further told that doctors along with paramedical staff had visited Ghulam Hussain and Sono Jalbani villages and examined villagers suffering from gastroenteritis and gave them medical treatment.
