Teams arrive today for AFC Cup

LAHORE, Sept 17: Defending champions Dordoi-Dynamo, Football Club from Kyrgyzstan will arrive in Lahore on Tuesday to defend their title in the AFC President Cup, starting at the Punjab Stadium from Thursday.

Nepal’s Mahindra Police Club, Bhutan’s Transport United Club, Chinese Taipei’ Tatung Club, Cambodia’s Khemara Club and Tajikistan’s Regar TadAZ FC will also reach Lahore on Tuesday.

From Pakistan, Army will compete in the eight-team contest, which was to be held in June this year, but was deferred as various participating teams could not get Pakistan’s visa on due date as the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) postponed it till Sept 20.
