HARIPUR, Sept 17: Three people, including a woman, were killed and one person was injured in different incidents here on Monday.A young man was killed when the Havelian-bound train hit him near the Hattar Industrial Estate.

The body of the boy was cut into two pieces. He was identified as Mohammad Afsar, 22.

Police claimed that the man had committed suicide by deliberately jumping onto to the track moments before the train came..

Family sources said Afsar had been disenchanted for the last several months because of joblessness. In another incident, a teenage boy was burnt to death and his brother received burn injuries when a LPG gas cylinder exploded in village Tarar union council Pind Kamal Khan.

Family sources said Tanveer was trying to light a gas stove when the leaking cylinder caught fire and exploded with a bang injuring the two brothers seriously.

They were taken to the DHQ Hospital where Tanveer succumbed to injuries while his brother, Muneer, was referred to the Ayub Medical Complex Abbottabad.

Lady councillor Iffat Irshad Shah of the union council Shah Maqsood was killed in a road accident.

Police said Iffat was crossing the GT Road near village Mohra when a car hit her.

The car driver sped away after the accident.
