SWABI, Sept 17: A man reportedly killed his father on Monday over a property dispute in the Maneri village, about 8km from the district headquarters. Mohammad Wali opened fire on his father after learn-

ing about the sale of a piece of land. Mr Wali was apparently unhappy over his father’s decision. The father suffered serious injuries and was taken to the district headquarters hospital, police said.

“The father told his son that he was the owner of the land and no one could prevent him from selling it,” a relative of the deceased said.

The injured man was shifted to the Lady Reading hospital in Peshawar but he succumbed to injuries midway.

Police registered an FIR against the accused at the Swabi police station.
