KARACHI, Sept 17: Brisk berthing activity was witnessed at port where four ships scheduled to load and unload containers, chemicals and coal were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, three more ships to load containers, cement and unload LPG arrived at the outer anchorage.

A total of ten ships, Sima Pride, Saudi Hofuf, Maersk Zanzibar, Arbalist, Eleoussa, Eestarn Bright, Young Tong Hai, Vema Ocean, Liquid Success and Carola, were currently busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, chemicals, coal, rapeseeds, furnace oil and coke.

Cargo handling was brisk at the wharves where a total tonnage of 95,478 tons comprising 85,075 tons of import and 10,353 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Sailings were active as Liquid Success, Saudi Hofuf and Zanzibar left the port.
