LAHORE, Sept 15: The retail price of 20-kilo flour bag will be Rs295 in the open market while it will be sold at the ex-mill price of Rs285 at the Sunday and Ramazan bazaars.

A decision to the effect was taken at a meeting of the Punjab government high-ups and officials of the provincial chapter of the Pakistan Flour Mills Association here on Saturday.

The daily wheat quota of flour mills was increased to 17,000 metric tons from the previous 11,000 metric tons.

The mills would get 40 bags a day instead of previous 20 bags, decided the meeting presided over by Punjab Food Minister Makhdoom Hasnain Jehanian Gardezi and attended by Chief Secretary Salman Siddique and Food Secretary Ahmad Yar Khan. —Staff Reporter
