PESHAWAR, Sept 15: The government has decided to increase the number of reserved seats for students of Fata and backward districts of the NWFP for admission to public-sector medical and dental colleges in the province.

A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting presided over by Governor Lt-Gen (retd) Ali Muhammad Jan Aurakzai at the Governor’s House here on Saturday. The meeting was convened to discuss issues relating to the Khyber Medical University, including increase in the number of seats for Fata and backward districts of the province. The number of seats for Fata was raised from the existing strength of 90 to 125 and for the backward areas from the existing 29 to 37.
