HYDERABAD, Sept 14: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Hydera-bad, on Friday announced the results of Higher Secondary School Certificate part-II (class-XII) annual examination 2007 of humanities group (regular/private).

Among the male students, first position was secured by Amanullah, son of Abdul Sattar Lund, seat No.103492 of Govt Degree College Tando Muhammad Khan by obtaining 777 marks, while Abdullah, son of Kamal Machhi, seat No.112544 of same college secured second position by obtaining 775 marks.

Third position was shared by Abdul Qudoos, son of Haji Abdul Karim Mangrio, seat No.112097 of Govt Shah Waliullah Oriental College Mansoora, Mohammad Asif Khan, son of Azeem Khan Qaimkhani, seat No.112410 of Govt Higher Secondary School Chambar, and Syed Ghulam Ali Shah, son of Syed Shabbir Ahmed Shah, seat No.112756 of Govt Higher Secondary School Sann, who obtained 770 marks each.

Among the girl students, Uzma Shah Shirazi, daughter of Syed Mehtab Shah Shirazi, seat No.100847 of Govt Nazareth Girls College Hyderabad secured first position by obtaining 828 marks. Mehtab, daughter of Saifullah Arain, seat No.107503 of Govt Higher Secondary School Daur secured second position by obtaining 802 marks, while Shamim Akhtar, daughter of Mohammad Sharif Arain, seat No. 112696 of Govt Girls College Kotri bagged third position by obtaining 791 marks.

According to face sheet of the result, a total 7,755 candidates appeared in the examinations out of which 5,360 were declared successful.

The percentage of successful candidates on the whole has been calculated at 69.11 per cent.

Meanwhile, the BISE has also notified that the candidates of part-I (class-XI) may deposit their enrolment and registration forms from Sept 17 to Nov 3, without late fee for appearing in the annual examination 2008.
