PERTH, March 16: Fast bowler Jo Angel overtook Terry Alderman’s mark of 384 wickets Saturday to become the second leading wicket-taker in the 110-year history of the Australia interstate competition.

Angel, 33, who has played four Tests, had match figures of seven for 99 for Western Australia in the four-day match against South Australia, which ended in a draw Saturday.

Angel has taken 387 wickets in 94 Australia interstate cricket matches, three ahead of fellow-Western Australian Alderman, who played 97 games.
