KRL struggle for victory

KARACHI, March 16: Pool ‘D’ leaders Khan Research Laboratories (KRL) were made to fight for victory by Rawalpindi in the National One-day Cricket Championship match at KRL Stadium (Rawalpindi) Saturday.

KRL won the match with just three balls to spare after being set a target of 222. Test discard Mohammad Wasim led the way with 71 off 95 balls, hitting seven fours.

Earlier, Wasim also excelled in the role of wicket-keeper, snapping up four catches. For Rawalpindi, who elected to bat first, Sohail Nasir stroked 93 off 129 balls with the aid of eight boundaries.
