HYDERABAD, Sept 13: A civil judge and judicial magistrate-VIII on Wednesday found nine persons in illegal detention at a private place owned by a cousin of SHO of Tando Ghulam Hyder police station, Mir Aftab Talpur, in Tando Fazal area.Sessions Judge Hyderabad had appointed Mr Badruddin Memon as raid commissioner to conduct the raid and recover the detainees after an application filed by Noor Deen, brother of Mohammad Khan Brohi, one of the detainees.

The detainees included Mohammad Khan, Mitho, Chutthal, Mumtaz, Basheer, Akbar, Mohammad Urs, Gul and Jabbar. They were picked up from Pyaro Lund, Tando Allahyar on Sept 8.

The detainees were said to be brothers and family members of Iqbal Brohi, an alleged dacoit, who was believed to be involved in the kidnapping of two journalists, Haji Khan Lashari and Amar Singh.The two journalists were kidnapped last month from Tando Mohammad Khan.

The magistrate directed the SHO and detainees to appear in court on Sept 15.—Correspondent
