KARACHI, Sept 13: Nine ships including a car carrier and to load ethanol are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources.Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk as seven ships, Kapitan Kyankin, Y.M. Star, Hyundai Advance to unload and load containers, Hope Star to offload steel, Pacific Arrow to load cement, Chemstar Brave to unload chemicals and Anawan to unload soyabean oil were berthed.

Sailing was also active as seven ships departed which included Johar, Caribbean Carrier, APL Sokhna, Oel Shreyas, China Star, Harmony and Norwoge, while Y.M. Star, Hope Star, Golden Arrow, Hyundai Advance, Pacific Arrow and Anawan are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 67,903 tons comprising 32,508 tons of export cargo, notably cement and rice and 35,395 tons of import tonnage was handled on Thursday.

The following ships are due on Friday: Grand Phoenix with 1,247 cars, Erria Dothe, Oriental Bouquet to load ethanol, Kota Ganteng, Emirate Karan, Scotland and Global Prince with containers and Jiao Cheng with general cargo.
