NAWABSHAH, Sept 12: Female members of the Zila Council Nawabshah protested for being ignored in development schemes during the session held under the chairmanship of Abdul Haq Jamali at Pir Qurban Ali hall, here on Wednesday.

Members of all parties, including Marvi Chandio, Dr Amna Lund and Sakina Channa said they were neither informed nor consulted on any development scheme of the district and took strong exception of it. They asked to be involved in all development schemes in future and representation in Accounts Committee, as well.

Nazim UC Pir Zakri and Chairman District Accounts Committee Syed Munir Shah said forest land was being vacated on directives of National Accountability Bureau and given to Army which was condemnable.

Abdul Rasool Brohi, Rajab Rind and Ghulam Hussain Chandio tabled a resolutions seeking waiver of agriculture loans, construction of schools, mosques and roads, provision of motorcycles to council employees and correspondence with Hesco about detection bills which were all approved unanimously.—Correspondent
