KARACHI, Sept 11: ICI Pakistan Limited launched a nationwide campaign on the hazards of ‘needle-stick injury’.

The week-long campaign, which concluded recently, was aimed at creating awareness on the incidence of needle stick injury and to work towards its prevention.

The campaign comprised technical presentations to medical professionals, training sessions and donations of safe needle disposal equipment to hospitals. This was run at major hospitals in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan and Peshawar. The events were attended by medical practitioners, opinion leaders and prominent government officials, says a press release.
