KARACHI, Sept 11: Six ships carrying containers, chemicals and coal are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing at the wharves was active where seven ships, Frankfurt Express, Mol Ability, China Star to unload and load containers, Sibi to offload and load general cargo, Ocean Flower for bunkering, Jop to offload DAP fertiliser and Johar to unload crude oil were berthed.

Sailing on the other hand was slow as only three ships, Gulf Bridge, Conti Harmony and Ocean Bridge departed, while Banglar Mookh, Nordwoge, Johar, China Star and Caribbean Carrier are due to sail out on Wednesday.

A total tonnage of 0.119m tons comprising 29,509 tons of export cargo and 88,911 tons of import tonnage was handled on Tuesday.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Chemstar Brave with chemicals, Iran Sattari, Harmony, Hyundai Advance and Y.M. Star with containers and Eleoussa with 40,000 tons of coal.
