KARACHI, Sept 11: Officials of the Regional Tax Office, Karachi, have been inter-acting with various trade bodies to facilitate them in filing of their income tax returns on the new format.

Additional Commissioner Maroof Gillani and Income Tax Officer Anees Ahmed in a meeting with All-Pakistan Power Looms Association apprised the stakeholders about the tax-friendly policies of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR).

Tax officials explained that new tax returns have been simplified on one page by removing extra details that were sought in the past. The taxpayers were also apprised about electronic filing of returns of income for the tax year 2007.
