Wapda win cycling event

LAHORE, Sept 9: Wapda has won the National women’s cycling championship here on Sunday, bagging 247 points. All the four events held on the day were won by Wapda.

Wapda’s Raheela Bano, with 80 points, was declared the national champion for the fifth consecutive time. Misbah Mushtaq Ali also contributed in Wapda’s win with her 70 points.

Railways with 73 points and Punjab with 69 seized the second and third spots.

30km road race: Raheela Bano (Wapda) 48min 08.seconds; Misbah Mushtaq (Wapda); Ghazala (Punjab).Elimination race: Raheela Bano, five min 61sec; Misbah Mushtaq (Wapda); Rashada (Punjab).

1,000m sprints: Raheela Bano (Wapda) 14.79sec; Misbah Mushtaq (Wapda); Rashada (Punjab).
