UBAURO (GHOTKI), Sept 9: The leaders of different trade unions have announced to launch a movement for employment to local people in the newly-established industries in Ghotki district.

Addressing a press conference here on Sunday, Saeendad Golo, Sadiq Laghari, Mohammad Issa Bhutto, Muhammad Punhal Samo and others said the movement would be launched under the aegis of Mehran Trade Union.

They said despite being an industrial zone, the local people were jobless and made to live a miserable life.

The Ghotki district has two big fertiliser factories, three gas producing companies and a power plant which deny jobs to the local youths. Two new power plants and a fertiliser factory are being set up that would employ 18,000 people.

The formal campaign would be launched by holding a seminar in Ubauro on September 12, they said adding that this injustice would also be challenged in the Supreme Court.—PPI
