KARACHI, Sept 9: About 5,000 candidates on Sunday participated in the entry test for 650 MBBS and BDS seats offered by the Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS), Sindh Medical College, Dow International Medical College and the Ishratul Ebad Khan Institute of Oral Health Sciences. The DUHS conducted the test at the Expo Centre from 10am to noon.
A spokesman for the DUHS said the candidates were accommodated in the air-conditioned halls and their accompanying parents or relatives were provided comfortable waiting facility outside the halls.
A “help desk” was made available there to guide the candidates and check their admit cards through computers.
All the candidates were asked to pass through the electronic gates installed there to ensure safety and security.

Vice-Chancellor of the DUHS Professor Masood Hameed Khan, principals of the Dow Medical College and Sindh Medical College Prof Salahuddin Afsar and Prof Tariq Sharafatullah, respectively, monitored the proceedings with other faculty members.
The official results of the test would be announced in a few days, the spokesman said.
