2 soldiers killed in ambush

MANSEHRA, Sept 8: Two army personnel were killed and two others injured when their convoy was ambushed in the Samar Nala area of Kohistan district.

Officials identified the deceased as Munawar and Ejaz Ahmad and the injured as Mohammad Idrees and Mohammad Ayaz. The convoy was going to Gilgit from Rawalpindi.

The Abbottabad DIG said that it was not yet confirmed if it was a terrorist attack. This could be the work of local bandits, he said.
