International Literacy Day today

ISLAMABAD, Sept 7: The International Literacy Day will be celebrated in Pakistan and across the world on Saturday (Sept 8), with the theme, ‘Literacy: key to good health and wellbeing.’

The International Literacy Day has been celebrated each year since 1968 by the United Nation Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (Unesco.

s In 1990, United Nation General Assembly gave a boost to the World Literacy by proclaiming it the International Literacy year.

Various organizations will organize functions for marking the day in a befitting manner.
